Week 2 HEAL US WITH YOUR
POWER (Part 2) By Sandra Clifton, D.Min. Begin
your study by reading “Heal Us With Your Power” by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne
Garlock (SpiritLed Woman magazine,
Oct/Nov, 2006). Introduction
It is easy, if we are not
careful, to lose sight of Jesus our healer who is greater than any disease or
affliction, more powerful than any sickness or physical or mental challenge
that could possible come against us. If we are seeking a miracle, we must look
beyond our circumstance and look to God, our “miracle maker.” What
God Says
Read John
10:10. Write it out.
Deeper
Insight
Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of how each Scripture is pointing to God’s healing power as greater and more powerful than anything the enemy could do against you or than any disease you could possibly encounter John 10:10:______________________________________________________ Acts 9:34:________________________________________________________ Rom. 8:37:_______________________________________________________ Rom. 8:38:_______________________________________________________ Application Below are scripture listings. They match the themes
listed below them (paraphrased, out of order). Place the scripture listing in
the blank next to the correct theme. Look up the scriptures and see how well
you (of course, hopefully) Memorize them and their location to enhance your
walk of faith in a healing God and to have them in you so you might witness to
others more effectively. John 10:10 Rom. 8:37 Rom 8:38 Acts 9:34 _____ Peter told Aeneas that ‘Jesus heals you.’ _____Nothing shall be able to separate us from the
love of God. _____The thief comes to steal, kill, destroy, but the
Lord has come that we may have life and may have it more abundantly. _____We are more than conquerors through Him who loved
us. For Group Study Begin your group time by
reading aloud John 10:10. Discuss its significance and how its truth has been
revealed to group members who might want to share testimonies.
Next
read aloud Rom 8:37-38 and discuss what all these verses might mean. Also ask
group members to share testimonies of how they overcame adversities (including
disease and physical and mental challenges) and became “more than conquerors”!
Close the
group session in prayer with thanks to God that He heals, delivers, and saves
us. Prayer
Memorize Rom. 8:37. Thank the Lord that no matter what you have walked through or what you are facing, you are a conqueror—an overcomer—under His blood and by His stripes! Thank Jesus that He still heals—and is meeting your every healing need, in His precious and powerful name. |
