YOUR SEASON OF DESTINY (Part 2)

By Sandra Clifton, D.Min.

Begin your study by reading “This is Your Season” by Jill Austin (SpiritLed Woman, Oct/Nov 2007).

Introduction

As a believer in Christ, you are also His messenger and ambassador? You will not only be a powerful voice to speak for Him, but will also be a model that demonstrates His very actions. Look to God’s Word to guide you as to how to be a messenger and ambassador for Christ.

What God Says

Read: 2 Chronicles 14:11.

Write it out.

Deeper Insight

Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of how each passage conveys the message that you are move powerfully as God’s vessel and leader.

Micah 2:13: ________________________________________________

Micah 3:8: __________________________________________________

2 Corinthians 5:20: ________________________________________________

Application

Below are themes (expressed in short sentences or phrases) from Scriptures, taken from the previous Deeper Insight section (with an extra one that doesn’t pertain at all). See if you can place the letter of the theme with the right Scripture.          Afterward, check to see how you did by looking up the Scriptures. Put them on 3x5 cards or enter them into your computer (perhaps as a screen saver). Get the promises of God’s Word—that you are full of His power—in you!

Themes

a. full of power by the Spirit of the Lord

b. they will break out, pass through the gate

c. ambassadors for Christ

For Group Study

Begin your group time by reading aloud 2 Corinthians 5:20, and then go around the group, sharing what an “ambassador for Christ” means and in what daily situations might one be an ambassador for Christ.

Close the meeting with prayer, and give thanks to the Lord that He empowers us daily to be His messenger and ambassador. Ask Him to give each member of the group wisdom, discernment, and grace to represent Him in numerous daily situations—that many who do not know Him will accept Him as Lord and Savior after encountering His messengers and ambassadors

Prayer

Memorize Micah 3:8. Read it aloud as part of your prayer, and then thank the Lord that His Spirit has given you power to represent Him in actions, deeds, and as a mouthpiece that proclaims His love and Holy name. Thank Him that, as a result, many lives around you will be transformed, for His glory!
