Week 5 GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF
THE BOTTOM LINE By Sandra Clifton, D.Min. Begin
your study by reading “Miracles on the Job” by Chuck Ripka (SpiritLed Woman magazine, Feb/March
2007). Introduction
All the time, God is
prompting you to do new projects and assignments for Him. In order to get ready
for them, you will need to devote prayer time for them—asking Him to bless all
that you do. His Word assures you that God will cover you in your assignments
and work, taking care of the bottom line of your every need! What
God Says
Read Ps. 142:3. Write it out.
Deeper
Insight
Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of what God is saying to you about trusting Him first to make a way for you and to take care of everything as you follow Him. Prov. 3:5-6: _____________________________________________________ Is. 40:3-5: ______________________________________________________ Is. 42:16: _______________________________________________________ Matt. 6:33: _____________________________________________________ Application Below are 3 themes. And below the themes are 3
Scripture listings (matching, but out of order). They are taken from the
previous Deeper Insight section (drawn from NKJV). Match each to the correct
one by putting the letter of the theme next to the listing. (using your memory,
of course, then look up afterward). Next, memorize them. These are good
promises to have in you, to remind you and others that the Lord will look after
you (and them) to the bottom line! THEMES a. Trust in the Lord—and lean not on your own
understanding b. The Lord’s promise to make the crooked places
straight c. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness LISTINGS _____Matt. 6:33 _____Prov. 3:5 _____Prov. 42:16 For Group Study Begin
your group time by reading aloud Proverbs 3:5-6, and then share around the
group what this has meant (and been applied) in the lives of those present.
Encourage testimonies of perhaps hard times when they had to trust in the Lord,
or perhaps when they were asked by the Lord to take steps of faith (with
nothing in sight) but they did it and there was victory.
Close the
group session in prayer, thanking the Lord that He will take care of every
single need and more and that He will look out for every detail now, and in the
future. Thank Him for renewed peace of His powerful presence (and His promises)
for each member of the group. Prayer
Memorize
Proverbs 3:5-6, and read it aloud as part of your prayer. Thank the Lord that
He is so faithful to look out for you, no matter what you face or are currently
going through. Thank Him that He is looking out for you moment by moment—with
your life solidly in His hands |
