Week 6 GOD’S TIME IS NOW
(Part 1) By Sandra Clifton, D.Min. Begin your study by reading “God’s Time
is Now” by Chuck D. Pierce and Rebecca Wagner Sytsema (SpiritLed Woman magazine, Feb./Mar 2007). Introduction
It does not matter how bleak or
troubled or “bad” your past has been. God has a better future for you—and His
best for you is yet to come! His great plans and purposes for your life are
always far better and beyond what you could possibly imagine! His Word assures
you of this. What
God Says
Read Jer.
29:11. Write it out.
Deeper
Insight
Read the following scripture sections (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of how each section reveals a promise or a model of how the Lord has made provisions and a future for you. Jer. 29:11-12: ___________________________________________________ Ezek. 36:24:__ _________________________________________________ Eph. 3:20:________________________________________________________ Heb. 7:25_______________________________________________________ Application See if you can recall what the following scriptures
say, word by word (NKJV), as taken from the previous section (Deeper Insight).
Afterward, check to see how you did by looking up the scriptures. Write them on
3x5 cards and carry them with you into your day, drawing strength from the
promises of God for your future. Ezek 36:24 Jer. 29:11-12 Heb. 7:25 Eph. 3:20 For Group Study Begin your group time by
reading aloud Jer. 29:11-12, and, verse by verse, share ideas as to what each
verse means and how each verse has been evident in the lives of the group
members. Encourage testimonies.
Close the group session with prayer, thanking the Lord for His great thoughts, great plans, and purposes for each and every group member. Thank Him that regardless of their pasts, the Lord has a great future ahead for them. Prayer
Memorize Eph. 3:20, and read
it aloud as part of your prayer. Thank the Lord that He is able to do
exceedingly abundantly above all that “we ask of think, according to the power
that works in us.” Thank Him that He not only has your future in His hands, but
that it is one blessed beyond measure! |
