Week 7 GOD’S TIME IS NOW
(Part 2) By Sandra Clifton, D.Min. Begin your study by reading “God’s Time
is Now” by Chuck D. Pierce and Rebecca Wagner Sytsema (SpiritLed Woman magazine, Feb./Mar 2007). Introduction
If
you have been feeling “stuck in a rut” or held back from what you know God is
calling you to do, perhaps it is time to step forward boldly and to claim what
God desires for you! Let His Word guide you and strengthen you to make it
happen. Then get ready to be astounded by what He does and how He works! What God Says
Read Mark 1:13. Write it out. Think about the phrase,
“and the angels ministered to Him” and how God can reach us, even in the most
unlikely of places!
Deeper Insight
Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of what each Scripture is telling you about how the Lord is with you, helping you to fulfill His great plans for you. 1 Tim. 1:12: ____________________________________________________ 1 Tim. 4:14: _____________________________________________________ Heb. 12:2: ______________________________________________________ Application Below are 3 Scripture listings
followed by phrases or sentences (taken from NKJV Scriptures used in the
previous Deeper Insight section). See if you can match the 3 listings with the
phrases or sentences. Look up the Scripture listings to see how you did.
Memorize the Scriptures, getting God’s Word into you. This will increase your
faith in a great God who has made provisions for a great future for you! 3 LISTINGS: 1 Tim. 4:14 1 Tim. 1:12 Heb. 12:2 _____ “the author and finisher of our faith” _____”Do not neglect the gift that is in you.” _____”Because He counted me faithful, putting me into
the ministry.” For Group Study Begin
your group time by reading aloud Hebrews 12:2. Discuss what the phrase, “the
author and finisher of our faith” might mean—and how this phrase can help give
any of us hope in times when we are discouraged. Go around the group and ask
members how they would minister hope to others in various circumstances through
this phrase (or the entire Scripture).
Close the
group session in prayer—each offering ‘thanks’ to the Lord for His ever-present
help and hope, no matter what we have faced or are facing, with help and hope
that promise us a future! Prayer
Memorize
Hebrews 12:2, and thank the Lord for His being “the author and finisher of our
faith.” Thank Him for your life and the promise of greater things to come—that
He will use you as His vessel to do greater things, all for His glory. |
