RUN TO THE BATLE (Part 1)

By Sandra Clifton, D.Min.

Begin your study by reading “Run to the Battle” by Francis Frangipane (SpiritLed Woman magazine, April/May 2007).

Introduction

In these days of great evils happening on earth, it is up to you and me to advance the cause of Christ. How do we do this? God’s Word shows us how—and will give us the power to do it, as well!

What God Says

Read Matt. 8:28-29.

Write it out.

Deeper Insight

Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version), as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of what these Scriptures might be telling you about God’s power in spiritual battle.

John 14:12: ______________________________________________________

Romans 16:20: ___________________________________________________

Heb. 11:3: ______________________________________________________

Luke 10:19: ______________________________________________________

Application

Below are Scripture listings (from the NKJV) of the previous Deeper Insight section. Below the listings are themes. Match the letter of the Scripture listing, putting it into the blank corresponding to the right Scripture. Look up the Scripture and see how you did. Memorize each one and put them on 3x 5 cards, to take with you into your day, as reminders to you (and to those to whom you witness) that God gives you the victory!

a.      John 14:12

b.      Rom. 16:20

c.      Heb. 11:3

d.      Luke 10:19

THEMES:

_____worlds were framed by the word of God. . . .so that things seen were not made of things visible

_____ we are given by Jesus] authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy

_____ he who believes in Jesus, greater works will he do

_____ the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet

For Group Study

Begin your group time by reading aloud Luke 10:19. Take turns within the group discussing what it means and how it might apply in various daily circumstances. Encourage testimonies.

End the meeting by taking prayer requests, and then thank the Lord who has given us the authority to not only “run to battle” for His causes, but the outcome of winning!

Prayer

Memorize Luke 10:19, and memorize it. Read it as part of your prayer. Thank the Lord for giving you authority over the enemy and for the victory every single time, as a result!
