Week 7
THE ROOTS OF UNBELIEF (Part 2)
By Sandra Clifton, D.Min.
Begin your study by reading “The Roots of Unbelief” by John L. and Paula Sandford (SpiritLed Woman magazine, June/July 2007).
Do you recall when you became converted to Christ? Your heart changed, didn’t it? You began to receive what Jesus had for you. But what about these days?
Are you still receiving what Jesus has for you? Did you know that He has great blessings for you? Turn to God’s Word this week and begin to receive the miraculous promises of God through belief in Jesus Christ—and begin to see a new rush of blessings and miracles come into your life.
Read Prov. 23:7.
Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of what God is saying to you in His Word about [believing] how much God loves you!
Matt. 10:30-31: ___________________________________________________
1 Tim. 6:20-21: ___________________________________________________
1 John 1:3: ______________________________________________________
Application
Below are two Scripture listings, taken from the previous Deeper Insight section (drawn from NKJV). See if you can briefly write about the main idea or theme from each one. (If you happen to recall the wording of each that would be good too.).
Look up the Scriptures, write them out, memorize them and place them on 3 X 5 cards, or on your computer as perhaps a screen saver, as reminders of how much God loves and values you (for your own edification and for others whom you encounter during your day).
Matt. 10:30-31:
1 John 1:3:
For Group Study
Close the group session in prayer, thanking God for loving them and blessing each one beyond their wildest dreams---to be a blessing to others!
Memorize Matt. 10:30-31. Read it aloud as part of your prayer. Thank the Lord that He loves and values you—blessing you each and every day without limit, and that your belief in His promises (found in His Word) will receive all that He has for you and your life.
