Week 2
RESTORATION OF THE
SOUL (Part 2)
By Sandra Clifton, D.Min.
Begin
your study by reading “Restoring the Feminine Soul” by Beverly “Bam” Crawford (SpiritLed Woman magazine, Aug. /Sept.,
2007).
How
are you reacting to the people and situations around you? Are you feeling
angry, depressed or frustrated at the drop of a hat? It could be that
people—whether intentionally or not—are saying and doing things that are
pushing your emotional buttons!
Be of good cheer! God’s Word can prevent your being
under the control of any one person or circumstance. Read it regularly and
begin to see your life become free, with an identity that is restored in
Christ.
Read John 8:36.
Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of what each Scripture is saying about the Lord’s power to restore.
John 8:36: ____________________________________________________
John 10:10: ___________________________________________________
2 Cor. 3:17:___________________________________________________
Heb. 4:12: ____________________________________________________
Application
Below are
paraphrased statements
next to the Scripture listings taken from the Scriptures from the previous
Deeper Insight section (NKJV). Mark “T”
if those statements belong to the Scripture listing. Mark “F” if they are mismatched. (Of course we trust you will be doing
this from memory!)
After you
finish, look them up and see how you did. Turn to the Scripture listings and
memorize the Scriptures. They will bless your life as you draw upon God’s
promises of restoration for your soul and life.
_______ John 8 :36 tells us that you are to
seek the kingdom of God first.
_______ John 10:10 speaks of the thief coming to steal, kill, and destroy
but Jesus has come that we may have life and that we may have it more
abundantly.
________ 2 Cor. 3:17 to not lose heart.
________Heb. 4:12 says that the Word of God is living and powerful, and
sharper than any two-edged sword.
For Group Study
Close
the group session in prayer—thanking the Lord for freedom in Him, and for the
fact that where He is, there is always liberty!
Memorize
John 8:36 and 2 Cor. 3:17. Choose one of them and read it aloud as part of your
prayer. Thank the Lord that He gives you liberty at all times over the
enemy—and that His liberty causes you to walk in restored strength and His
power in every waking moment of your day.
