WEEK 9 TIMELESS TREASURES GOD IS LOVE (Part 2) By Sandra Clifton, D.Min. Begin your study by reading “God is
Love” by Evangeline Cory Booth (SpiritLed
Woman magazine, Aug/Sept, 2007). Introduction
If
you ever want to know how much God loves you, just read His Word. Think of His
sacrifice for you before you knew or acknowledged Him. The more you read His
Word, the more you are sure to get blessed by His message of love for you. After all, it is a love story—of His love for you,
with redemption and eternal life offered to you through Jesus Christ, the Son!
After reading His Word, you will want to tell others—so they can get blessed by
God’s great love for them! What
God Says
Read Matt. 7:11-12. Write it out.
Deeper
Insight
Read the following Scriptures (in New King James Version, as the exercises to follow will be based on that). Make brief notes of what each Scripture is saying about God’s love for you. Matt. 7:11-12:____________________________________________________ Matt. 14:14: ______________________________________________________ John 3:16-17:_____________________________________________________ Rom. 8:35: _______________________________________________________ Application Below are three Scriptures with the theme of God’s love for you. Fill in the blanks with the correct word (taken from Deeper Insight section, using the NKJV). Look up each Scripture to see how you did and memorize each one. Put them on note cards or into your computer (as a screen saver). Get these truths of God’s love for you in you, and get blessed in new ways as you carry His powerful reminders of His love for you through out your day! Share them with others and bless them as well! Matt. 7:11: “ If you then, being ___, know how to ____ good gifts to your _______, how much more will your ______ who is in ______ give good ______ to those who ____ Him!” John 3:17: “For _____ did not _____ His _____ into the ______ to _________ the world, but that the _____ through ____ might be ______.” Rom. 8:35: Who shall _________ us from the ____ of God? Shall tribulation, or _______, or persecution, or ______, or _______, or peril, or _____?” For Group Study Begin
your group time by reading aloud Matt. 7:11. Discuss among the group what all
this Scripture verse means—and how it has applied to them and their families.
Encourage testimonies. Close the group session in prayer,
thanking the Lord for His mercy and goodness. And give Him praise for His love,
that it is unconditional and eternal! Prayer
Memorize
Matthew 7:11. Read it aloud as part of your prayer. Thank the Lord for His
goodness and love and ever-abiding presence in your life. Thank Him for His
promise to give you what you need and in such loving ways! Praise Him for
meeting your every need and for performing the miracles you so need! Close your
prayer with thankfulness that His love and grace abound and fill your life
completely, giving you newfound peace and joy and assurance that all of your
